Pick Your Own Peach Reservation FAQs

you pick PYO peaches

Phoenix Fruit Farm is Now Accepting August Reservations for You-Pick Peaches.

Read on for answers to our most common PYO Peach Reservation FAQs!

Why is Phoenix requiring peach-picking reservations this year?

Phoenix wants the peach-picking experience to be beneficial for guests and the orchard, alike. Our peaches have been so popular, supply is very limited compared with demand. Reservations will enable Phoenix to provide a more enjoyable, socially distanced you-pick experience and also ensure customers who make the trip out to the farm for peach picking will be sure to get those peaches! Having fewer hands on the delicate peach fruit and fewer cars parked in the orchard also help us to keep production and maintenance costs lower, and disturb less native speciation in the orchard.

How do I make a reservation?

Simple! Click here to get started now.

It says we get one bag for two adults when placing a reservation — Will there be an opportunity to buy more bags in the orchard?

Maybe — It depends on how plentiful the current harvest/supply is! Customers can ask our friendly staffers if there are enough peaches to allow for this and also purchase peaches at the farm store at 401 Mill Valley Rd.

What if I’m not tech-savvy and need some help?

To place a reservation over the phone with the help of our friendly store staff, call 413-213-1414. Hours of operation are Monday-Saturday 8a – 6p and Sunday 10a – 6p.

How many people can I bring? Do I have to pay for kiddos?

Up to 6 adults are allowed per reservation. Children under 12 do not need a reservation but do need to be supervised by adults.

How do I alter my reservation after it’s made?

Contact us here! Please allow 48 hours for a response.

Will I be able to buy your delicious cider donuts in the orchard?

Yes! But to snag our signature pies, sandwiches or snacks, and a plethora of regional produce you’ll have to head to our farm store at 401 Mill Valley Road.

What forms of payment do you accept?

In both the orchard and the farm store, we are proudly able to accept cash, card and EBT/SNAP benefits.

Where do I park? Is it the same location as the store?

You-pick is located atop the orchard, found at 249 Sabin Street. The gate will be open, and you’ll be able to drive to the top of the hill and check in at the tent with staff for your bag. The store is located just down the road at 401 Mill Valley Road.

Do you have directions?

Is there a restroom in the orchard?

There will be a portable toilet available.

Can I bring my dog, cat, or other pet?

Sorry, we are unable to have animals (other than the wild ones!) in a food production area like the orchard.

What if the weather is bad on the day of my reservation?

In inclement weather, we may call off the session. Call 413-213-1414 if the weather is looking dicey to check on the status of your reservation.

How do I get my hands on slightly bruised, seconds-quality peaches that are perfect for baking, canning and jarring?

We usually have cases of seconds on-hand during August which can be picked up at the store. It’s best to call the store ahead of time to double-check that seconds are available and reserve yours.

What types of peaches are there, and which ones are ripe when?

We have yellow cling peaches in the first 2 weeks of August, and yellow freestone peaches in the second 2 weeks of August. A small quantity of white peach will be available for purchase in-store in mid-August, but will not be a you-pick variety.
